Lynne Bowman is living proof you can! Lynne was diagnosed with gestational diabetes with her first pregnancy and was told that Type 2 diabetes could rear it’s head in her future. Sure enough In her 40’s It did, about 50% of women with gestational diabetes go on to develop type 2 diabetes, but there are steps you can take to prevent it.
Lynne and I chatted about her journey to discover the steps she needed to take to return to health. The bottom line is to kick sugar into touch! but it doesn’t need to be hard and there are lots of ‘cheaty ways’ to enjoy nutritious tasty food. Even your favourite sweet treats are on the menu, you just need to cook it yourself!
