Dry January, February, March?

by | Jan 1, 2023 | Moving Through Menopause Podcast

Could you go a day, a week, a month, a year without alcohol? I am a non-drinker and have been for most of my adult life for one reason or another. If Dry January is something you are toying with I would urge you to give it a go. Alcohol is a toxin and messes with your body especially around Menopause. Alcohol contributes to hot flushes, can increase your risk of osteoporosis and compromises our immune system

Drink Manufactures are very clever at selling us the idea that when we have a drink our lives will be somehow better. But is this really the case? or do they really just want to make money from selling alcohol??. I’m all in favour of a good time but there can be a point when alcohol becomes a problem.

My guest Anne Gilkes began to think she might have a problem with alcohol and sought advice from her GP who reassured her that the half to full bottle of wine she was consuming each night was ok. I enjoyed chatting with Anne to hear her honest acoount of her struggles with Alcohol and to hear all about how she helping other women in this same predicament. If you’re thinking of reducing your alcohol intake then you can grab yourself a copy of Anne’s free guide – 10 First Steps You Can Take in 15 mins to Break the Drinking Cycle . Give yourself a boost with these quick ideas.

Thanks to My Guest
